Pea is a genus of flowering plants from the Bean family.

This is an annuity herbaceous plant with weak stems that swallow. The leaves of the cassette, ending with branched (branched) ear buds, with which peas cling to other surfaces.

A generic distinction is a triage column in a flower, with a groove beneath and hair above.

One of the founders of genetics, Gregor Mendel, studied the inheritance of seven characteristic peas and thus brought forth laws that are now known as the Mendel Laws (with three genetic laws together).

Pea plants are self-pollinated, cross-pollination is rare. Self-fertilization occurs in the bud before the flower unfolds.
